WARM GESTURES

It warms my heart when daughters of my friends are daughters to me too and show such warm, loving concern. Ramani, daughter of the late Manouri Muttewegama never fails to call me from Amsterdam before she arrives to ask what I would like from there. I say ' nothing except yourself' but she invariably arrives with special goodies unobtainable here. Ramani is a warm generous person, always full of affection and good humour. Another is Sujani Bogollagama, daughter of Sunetra, who makes it a point to cook something special for me when she does

so for her family. She's a working mother with two little daughters, and I'm so touched by these gestures from both of them.
