The good news for the visiting Sri Lankan team in Bangladesh is that pace bowler Vishwa Fernando’s MRI scan is clear.

Vishwa Fernando was taken to the Imperial Hospital in Chattogram for his MRI. He was also examined by a neuro physician there.

“He has been cleared by the doctors, however it will be the decision of the team management to include him in the final eleven in the second Test,” a source told the Daily Mirror.

In the meantime, its bad news for Bangladesh, with Islam, their 20-year-old left arm mediumfast bowler, having sustained a fracture on his hand.

He was retired out in the first innings after being struck on the hand by a Rajitha delivery. He is out of the ongoing Test and likely to miss the second Test.
