COPE instructs Litro to supply gas to highly residential areas

● $ 120Mn Indian line of credit will be used to purchase gas

Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) has instructed Litro gas to focus on supplying gas to highly residential areas, the Parliament unit said.

Litro Gas officials were summoned to COPE yesterday, where a broad discussion took place between them and COPE members. It was highlighted that there is a possibility of purchasing gas using insurance funds. It has also been revealed that $ 120 million Indian line of credit will be used to purchase gas as well. Accordingly, Litro Gas was advised to supply 60 per cent of its gas cylinders to highly residential areas.

It was further revealed that World Bank aid worth $ 80 million will also be used to purchase gas.
