Gateway wins International Schools Netball crown for fourth successive year

Gateway College continued their winning streak by winning the Inter International Schools Under 20 Girls Netball Championship once again. The prestigious tournament, organised by Ilma International School, was played at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium. Gateway College beat Ilma International School in the final by a comprehensive margin of 14-3. The semi-final was a closer affair, but Gateway finally beat Lyceum International School Wattala 11-7.

At the preliminary stage, Gateway won with ease against Colombo International School Kandy by beating them 11-2, but lost to Gateway College Kandy 7-8. They received a walkover from Lyceum International School Panadura.

Gateway’s Onadhi Samarakoon was named the Netball Queen of the Tournament. Methuli Erahapola won the award for the Best Defensive Player.
