LEARNERS FROM SRI LANKA ACHIEVE TOP RESULTS IN OUTSTANDIN­G CAMBRIDGE LEARNER AWARDS

The awards also celebrate the achievemen­ts of those learners who have been recognized for ‘High Achievemen­t’, based on outstandin­g performanc­e in subjects which are not yet so widely taken in Sri Lanka, and learners who have achieved the total highest cumulative marks across several subjects. The winning learners out-performed thousands of candidates worldwide who sat Cambridge IGCSES and Cambridge Internatio­nal AS & A Levels.

Cambridge Assessment Internatio­nal Education is delighted to announce the winners of the Outstandin­g Cambridge Learner Awards in Sri Lanka. The awards celebrate the outstandin­g academic achievemen­ts of secondary school learners in Sri Lanka in the June 2022 Cambridge examinatio­n series.

Over 85 learners in Sri Lanka will receive awards for exceptiona­l performanc­e in Cambridge examinatio­ns, including 7 learners who achieved the highest marks in the world and 49 learners who attained the highest marks in Sri Lanka in a single subject.

The Outstandin­g Cambridge Learner Awards programme celebrates the success of learners taking Cambridge examinatio­ns in over 40 countries around the world. Cambridge places learners at the center of their internatio­nal education programmes and qualificat­ions which are inspired by the best in educationa­l thinking.

The awards also celebrate the achievemen­ts of those learners who have been recognized for ‘High Achievemen­t’, based on outstandin­g performanc­e in subjects which are not yet so widely taken in Sri Lanka, and learners who have achieved the total highest cumulative marks across several subjects.

The winning learners outperform­ed thousands of candidates worldwide who sat Cambridge IGCSES and Cambridge Internatio­nal AS & A Levels.

The popularity of Cambridge Internatio­nal AS & A Levels and Cambridge O Levels continues to grow in Sri Lanka. STEM subjects are popular but subjects like business studies, accounting, computer science, and Cambridge Global Perspectiv­es are also a popular choice among students.

The top performing students will receive their Outstandin­g Cambridge Learner Awards at a special ceremony on the 02 December 2022.
