CIPM signs MOU with Swiss Hospitality Management Academy
The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Swiss Hospitality Management Academy Pvt Ltd (SHMA).
Under this MOU, CIPM will conduct a unique HRM programme catering to the hotel industry’s specific requirements. Concurrently, CIPM and SHMA will offer a Diploma in Hospitality Management, which will equip professionals with the necessary knowledge and skills to manage human resources and operations in the hospitality industry effectively.
This collaboration between CIPM and SHMA will result in mutual benefits, including enhanced professional development opportunities, increased networking, and improved understanding of the two fields. In addition, through this partnership, professionals in both fields can exchange insights, best practices, and techniques, leading to innovation and improvement in both areas.
Distinguished representatives from both institutions graced the ceremony. The Managing Director/ceo of Baurs and SHMA Director, Rolf Blaser, the Director of Finance and Compliance, Pavithra Samarasinghe, the Dean of Academy SHMA, Daniela Munasinghe, and the Manager, Sureeka Fernando, represented Baurs.
The CIPM was represented by its President Ken Vijayakumar, Vice President Priyantha Ranasinghe, Treasurer Saman Jayavickrama, Council members, CEO U.A.C Obeysekere, Director of Professional and Academics Affairs G.weerathunga, Director Operations Himali Dassanayake and CIPM staff.
