CEYLON MOTOR SHOW

The Ceylon Motor Show – touted as the country’s largest auto industry event – attracted 15,000 visitors who had the opportunity to witness car launches, interactive demonstrations and exciting side events that highlighted the evolution of the motoring landscape of Sri Lanka. The three day event was organised by the Ceylon Motor Traders Association and the Classic Car Club of Ceylon, along with title partner Sri Lanka Insurance Motor Plus. Over 140 stunning classic cars were displayed at the event, which also featured car themed entertainment for the younger motoring enthusiasts. Industry specialists highlighted the rising demand for hybrid and electric vehicles, and shared their knowledge on new technologies, sustainability and environmental awareness. “Driven by the resounding success of 2019, we are already looking forward to the next edition of the show,” remarked Sheran Fernando, the Chairman of Ceylon Motor Traders Association.
