One of Sri Lanka’s largest e-commerce platforms, Daraz has stepped up its game with the launch of dMart – an online supermarket that offers essential household items and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) ranging from fresh fruits and vegetables, to dairy products, beverages and many more. The online supermarket is a welcome addition to the e-commerce sphere as it allows people to shop from their homes and adhere to physical distancing health guidelines in the postcurfew era. “Plans to add fresh and essential items to the existing one million products on Daraz have been in the pipeline for some time. Given the recent developments, the need for this became more urgent.
