Indulgent Pie

This recipe is for a rather indulgent pie and comes with a warning: make occasional­ly and eat sparingly! The only saving grace is the inclusion of banana slices or any other fruit – but that depends on your choice. Though the dessert has three components, two of these are optional including the banana or fruit slices. The pie has a chocolate chip cookie dough for its base and a rich creamy custard as its filling. If you wish, you can top the pie with any fruit of your choice.

The whipped cream topping is also optional. And you can customise the filling to a preferred flavour such as chocolate, coconut or butterscot­ch.
