In a bid to encourage customers to minimise their interactions with others, Commercial Bank of Ceylon announced special offers for cardholders. These ranged from meals, snacks and pharmaceuticals, to stationery, consumer electronics and even furniture. Cardholders were offered discounts of up to 55 percent on purchases through their credit cards and up to 25 percent on payments made with debit cards, as well as waiving of delivery charges.
