ENGINES
All turbo range includes 3-litre turbo petrol V6 on the base model, 2.9-litre twinturbo petrol V6 on the S model or 4-litre twin-turbo petrol V8 on the turbo model. The hybrid models see the 3 or 4-litre plants mated to electric drive systems with a 17.9 kWh lithium ion battery (up from 14.1 kWh on the 2020 model) offering up to 48 kilometres of EV range. Diesel power has been dropped.

8.5 km/litre (Cayenne), 35-40 km/litre (E-hybrid), 8 km/litre (Cayenne S), 7.2 km/litre (GTS), 6.5 km/litre (Turbo), 25-30 km/ litre (Turbo S E-Hybrid).

335 bhp (Cayenne), 456 bhp (E-hybrid: same engine as Cayenne plus an electric drive unit), 434 bhp (Cayenne S), 453 bhp (Cayenne GTS), 543 bhp (Cayenne Turbo), 670 bhp (Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid).
TRANSMISSION
Eight-speed ZF sourced automatic with paddle shifters.
DRIVE
The entire Cayenne range is allwheel drive.
VERDICT
Cayenne customers demand a lot and want an off-roader from what is essentially a sports car. Perhaps now, Porsche has presented them with a convincing argument!
