Q: What unique offerings set you apart from the competition?

A: Our main priority is to offer our customers value for money. Given the current market conditions, this has become extremely challenging for the sector as a whole but we still try to maintain a value for money principle whenever it is within our control. Similarly, we strive to maintain high quality not only in our services but also in our food and customised beverages.

Q: A year of challenges is coming to an end – what dominant seasonal trends are you seeing?

A: It was a challenging year indeed – from the pandemic to an economic crisis. However, having a positive mindset during these trying times is of utmost importance for survival. That being said, we are now seeing things picking up at a steady pace and returning to normal at most establishments.

Oktoberfest was the start of the season for us, and the industry saw a significant and encouraging boost in spending. We hope this continues in December, which is the most exciting month of the year for the hospitality sector.

Q: When it comes to service, what are the top three things that customers look for?

A: Elegance and efficiency. Our customers appreciate tastefully presented dishes and an efficient service. Since we live in a fast-paced world, we like to slow it down and offer our customers these luxuries.

Value for money. Due to the very slow economic recovery, value for money is great- ly appreciated by most of our customers.

Brand presence and location. In today’s digitally savvy world, when customers tag us on social media, it does wonders for awareness. Our brand and location at 63, Park Street, Colombo 2 also plays a key role for us in terms of top of the mind recall and ease of access for customers.

Q: What unique offerings are in store for customers as they celebrate the season?

A: We are very excited about the season.

In addition to our daily happy hours (from 5-7 p.m.) and weekly entertainment (every Wednesday and Friday), we are hosting an Oyster Jazz Sunday in December.

Depending on its popularity, we will continue this event monthly in the New Year too. We will be having our seasonal celebrations with the launch of a special menu on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. And we cordially invite everyone to come experience the Irish Pub and Grill this season and in the New Year as well.
