Prince of Wales defeat St. Peter’s after ten years
Prince of Wales after their poor performances in recent times came back to with a vengeance to record a stunning seven wicket win over fancied St. Peter’s in their Under 19 inter- school cricket encounter at Moratuwa yesterday.
Prince of Wales who dominated the first day’s proceedings continued their fine performance on the second day too. Resuming on their overnight score of 232 for 4 they went on to make a challenging 311 for 7 declared with overnight batsman Shanuka Dulaj making 81.
The last time the Cambrians beat St. Peter’s was in 2002 when Kavinda Silva led the team.
Dharmasoka MV Ambalangoda coasted to their fourth win of the season with a six wickets win over Kalutara MV at the Ambalangoda Esplanade.
