-

Bollywood actress, Sri Lankan beauty queen and superstar, Jacqueline Fernandez, is the face of Nestlé's new hot MAGGI Noodles Devilled range - Devilled Chicken, Devilled Kotthu and Devilled Chilli Chicken, the company said last week.

Nestlé's latest innovation, its first for 2012, has used its world renowned R&D expertise to develop these new noodle products in line with local home recipes and typical Sri Lankan flavours popular with local youth. With in- depth consumer research indicating that hot and spicy food, mainly in the 'devilled' form is a high favourite amongst local youth, MAGGI Noodles' new scintillating fla- vours also come with additional sachets of savoury sauce and spicy oil for that added fiery zest, taste and aroma.

“As Sri Lanka's leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness Company, we are constantly innovating and renovating to make our products more relevant to our consumers in line with evolving trends and needs," noted Ms. Priyadarshinie Karunaratne, AVP - Food for Nestlé Lanka PLC in a statement.

Although MAGGI Noodles is a world renowned brand, it caters to the unique and diverse indigenous taste and flavours preferred by local consumers.

Alois Hofbauer, Managing Director for Nestlé Lanka PLC " … our new MAGGI Devilled Noodles are extremely youth centric with dynamic, vibrant, fun and hot brand personalities. Jacqueline Fernandez fits very well with this youth centric range. As a young, dynamic and vibrant youth icon of international fame with a strong Sri Lankan identity, she blends perfectly with the essence of our MAGGI Devilled Noodles."

Jacqueline Fernandez, the brand ambassador of the new MAGGI range enthused "MAGGI'S new devilled range is definitely my new found love! It tastes incredible and has got such a fun, vibrant and youth centric persona! I'm definitely excited to be a part of it.”
