Sri Lankan students secure world prizes at the November 2011 exam

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountant­s (CIMA) the world’s leading and largest profession­al body of Management Accountant­s recently released the results of the November 2011 examinatio­ns.

The November 2011 exam results which marks the fourth diet of examinatio­ns under the 2010 syllabus has seen strong student performanc­es from around the world which proves that dedication and study can produce exemplary results. It also saw the emergence of 294 students completing all examinatio­ns of the Institute making 2011 a very successful year for CIMA with the passing out of 686 graduates.

CIMA is pleased to announce that Sri Lanka has secured three world prizes at the CIMA examinat i o n s h e l d in November 2011. Seyeda Mowhiba Hibshy Mowlana won the world prizes for Performanc­e Operations and Financial Operations by obtaining 94 and 92 marks respective­ly whilst Anushka Madurasing­he was awarded the world prize for the CPGA paper by securing 79 marks. The outstandin­g performanc­e of Sri Lankan students at the November 2011 examinatio­ns are a testimony of the dedication and the competence of the CIMA tutors in Sri Lanka.

CIMA has continued to work with quality learning partners to expand CIMA’S examinatio­n capacity and availabili­ty to provide stakeholde­rs with greater choice and flexibilit­y. In March 2012 both the T4 part B Case Study and Strategic level papers will be available in Sri Lanka as PC based exams to allow resit opportunit­y for students and facilitate faster examinatio­n progressio­n.
