A night when the stars shon brighter...! TMC’S Seasonal Bash 2011 Glorious fun at TMC’S Xmas bash
The Management Club (TMC) organised an year end party for its members and their guests at the Global Towers on 16th December and it turned out to be a real fun filled affair with the participants getting the opportunity to savour a variety of seasonal fun and entertainment dished out by the organisers.
The evening’s proceedings started with X’mas carols led by the Ex Co members of TMC and later shifted to a faster pace to the musical accompaniment of Tony Hopman and his band of musicians.
TMC members and their guests were seen sharing many interesting stories with thirst quenchers giving them a real boost for “high energy action” as the evening progressed.
The kids had their share of fun as they took part in some interesting games while the seniors too had some funny and amusing contests providing them the chance to test their hitherto unearthed skills away from the busy corporate lives.
The party went into full swing later on with many dance variations , from Slow Rhythm to Waltz and Cha-cha-cha to Jive, not forgetting the fast action Baila sessions being performed by the participants while Tony and his band played a scintillating variety of songs to suit the many moods.
The occasion certainly provided the ideal setting for all members of TMC to share the joy of the season and welcome a brand new year as TMC looks forward to another new year in which the club will mark the completion of an eventful decade.
It turned out to be one of those starry starry nights at Berjaya Mount Royal when The Management Club had a fun filled evening with a host of their members, spouses and guests at their year end / Xmas party.
With red green and gold as the colours of the night it was a fascinating sight to see the majority of particpants glamorously attired in these colours matching the seasonal décor at the venue.
As the seasonal spirits started flowing right from the beginning of the party, the MC for the evening TMC’S very own Pradeepa Kekulawala set the stage for an entertaining evening with a dancing competition exclusively for ladies which saw many contenders showing off their hidden talents, giving a very hard time for the judges.
The guys too had their own competition for the most entertaining dancer of the evening and it was very appropriate that a few lady guests were called upon to judge their performances
Many who took part in this competition gave scintillating displays of rhythmic body movements but they were no match for the ladies in that aspect !
The Karaoke competition saw the singing talents of many members and their guests. Leading the way with his version of “Blue Spanish Eyes” was TMC GFH Chairman Senaka Abeyakoon followed by other stalwarts of TMC - Sunimal Weerasooriya and Ajith Abeysekera being also among them.
The party got into a really swinging mood closer to midnight with lots of dance variations of Jive and Cha-chacha performances culminating in a vigorous Baila session greatly enjoyed by everyone.
The occasion saw many members of TMC from Mt Lavinia, Negombo and Kalutara led by their respective Chairmen Nujith Samarawickrama, Yoshan Fernando and Shirley Perera on the dance floor most of the time and the proceedings that night had to be concluded only because the hotel staff had to make preparations for the hall to be used for another function the next morning.
It was a night to remember for all who were there at Berjaya at the TMC Xmas Bash 2010...!!!
