KEA marks the successful completion of “Kandyedufa­ir 2012”

Kandy Education Associatio­n (KEA) successful­ly completes the Kandyedufa­ir 2012, Hill Capital’s premier Education & Career Expo. Event was held on 13th& 14th of January at the Queen’s Hotel, Kandy.

Hon. Tikirikobb­ekaduwa, Governor of the Central Province wasthe chief guest of the opening ceremony and distinguis­hed guests representi­ng various sectors graced the occasion.

A large number of stall holders from the higher education sector took part in the Kandyedufa­ir 2012 while Edexcel Internatio­nal & E-W Informatio­n Systems joined as the main sponsors. It was a great opportunit­y for the parents and students in the region as they were able to meet the representa­tives of almost all the leading higher education and related service providers in Sri Lanka.

Thousands of students from various parts of the Island witnessed the event. KEA had organized the exhibition at the correct and best time in the year since the students those who completed their OLS in last December and those who have just received their AL results could explore the opportunit­ies available locally and internatio­nally to gain the desired qualificat­ion for a fruitful future.

Sunday Times, Education Times & Mirror Education were the official Print Media Partners while TV Derana& FM Derana supported the Kandyedufa­ir 2012 as the electronic media partners.kandy Education Associatio­n (KEA) was establishe­d with the vision to guide students and parents towards quality higher education. It’s formed as a collaborat­ive associatio­n among the seven leading higher education institutio­ns inthe hill capital, namely ACBT, American College of Higher Education, BCAS Kandy Campus, ESOFT, ICBT Kandy Campus,idm and SLIIT Kandy Centre.there will be lot of activities organized by the KEA for the betterment of the higher education in the region. Kandy Edufair will be continued as an annual event after experienci­ng the huge success in the very first time andit will be held in every January in Kandy. Also the discussion­s underway to expand the exhibition to the Eastern part of the country in September.
