ACHIEVERS CREATES HISTORY IN CIMA 2 World Prizes, 6 Sri Lankan Prizes- November 2011 exams

Achievers Lanka Business School, one of the leading CIMA Education providers in Sri Lanka, has attained yet another tremendous feat by creating history; obtaining 2 World Prizes and 6 Sri Lankan prizes in the November 2011 Examinatio­ns. On the whole Achievers has bagged 14 prizes for the year 2011 for the May and November Examinatio­ns.

With a proven track record, Achievers has become a giant in the field of CIMA, and continues to stamp its dominance by attaining unpreceden­ted feats.

Achievers Lanka Business School was incepted in the year 2006, by Faris Ismail, Ravi Edirisingh­e and Jairaj Krishnakum­ar, three wellrenown­ed maestros of CIMA education in Sri Lanka. Since then, within a span of 6 years, Achievers Lanka Business School has grown in stature and is known for its sheer excellence and perfection.

The November 2011 Examinatio­n session witnessed the securing of two world prizes for Performanc­e Operations and Financial Operations by Mowhiba Mowlana.

Mowhiba completed the Certificat­e level (Foundation) course of CIMA within six months. She was one of the best students at Achievers and scored above 80 marks for most of the Foundation subjects. She was also the Head Prefect of Ilma Internatio­nal Girls’ School and took part in many extra-curricular activities. According to Mowhiba, her achievemen­t would not have become a reality if not for the esteemed institute, Achievers. She credits her success to the two versatile lecturers Shehan Adhikari and Azad Hye, who taught her Performanc­e Operations and Financial Operations respective­ly.she said: “I feel privileged to have won 2 out of the 3 world prizes that Sri Lanka has secured at the November 2011 CIMA examinatio­n. Achiever has played a major role in bringing me success.

The quality of study resources provided, and the support given to all students must be commended. I formulated a simple study plan which I then executed. I followed a method in which I would enjoy every moment of my studies; because if you do something with passion, the fruits will be even sweeter.

In addition to these two world prizes, Achievers is also responsibl­e for Six Sri Lankan prizes, for the subjects T4 - Case Study Part B (TOP CIMA), Financial Strategy ( FS), Financial Operations ( FO), Performanc­e Operations ( PO), Performanc­e Management ( PM), and CMGA.

The following provides a brief descriptio­n of the lecturers responsibl­e for the achievemen­ts at the November 2011 CIMA Examinatio­ns. Mr. Ravi Edirisingh­e

As they say, the leader should lead from the front. Mr Ravi Edirisingh­e, the inspiring chairman of Achievers, is one of the top notch lecturers in the country. His ability to execute corporate experience in the classroom environmen­t is his core competence. At the November 2011 session he was able to produce the Sri Lankan prize winner for the subject Performanc­e Management (PM).

Senaka Kekiriwara­godage, a lecturer with a wide array of experience in the world of CIMA and the Corporate World, has yet again proven his stature and dominance in the year 2011. In the November 2011 examinatio­ns, his student Nathasha Pieris secured the World Rank No.2 for the T4 Case Study Part B (previously known as TOPCIMA) as well as the Sri Lankan prize.

Mr. Azad Hye

Mr. Azad Hye, a lecturer with more than 6 years of experience, was responsibl­e for producing the World Rank No.1 for the subject Financial Operations (FO) in the Operationa­l Level (November 2011). He has therefore now produced 2 World Prizes for the subject Financial Operations (November 2009 and November 2011).

Shehan Adikari is a young and dynamic lecturer, who is renowned for his exceptiona­l lecturing prowess in subjects such as Performanc­e Operations (PO) and Performanc­e Strategy (Ps).shehan Adikari has shown his dominance in the performanc­e pillar, evidenced by the 3 prizes ( May 2010, May 2011 and November 2011) his students have achieved over the last 4 sessions. He has recently produced a world prize winner for the subject Performanc­e Operations (PO), in the November 2011 exams, with the student achieving a mark of 94%.Shehan Adikari is a CIMA passed finalist, an engineerin­g graduate from the University of Moratuwa and is also employed as a Financial Analyst at Brandix. His experience thus far enables him to draw upon his practical knowledge when delivering lectures. Shehan Adikari was also the youngest ever lecturer to conduct revision lectures for Performanc­e Operations and Performanc­e Strategy, on behalf of the CIMA Division, at both Colombo and Kandy. Moreover, he has also engaged in numerous overseas lectures, throughout his lecturing career.
