Sri Lanka's first LPO conference opens on Thursday
Sri Lanka's first international conference on LPO (Legal Process Outsourcing) gets underway in Colombo on February 9-10.
Titled "Outsourcing vs Restructuring - Challenges in International Business Structures", the conference brings together an array of experts on law, ICT and business and combination of the three disciplines.
It is organized by the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) together with the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA), the ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) and the Legal Solutions Forum (LSF).
It is aimed at creating awareness about Sri Lanka as a preferred destination of choice for the LPO business which is an objective of the LSF, according to BASL President Shibly Aziz.
The LSF is a group of like-minded business professionals and businessmen who have come together to establish a Forum that can address and cater for the opportunities presented by the expanding global Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) market by creating awareness of Sri Lanka's capabilities in LPO and, raising Sri Lanka's profile on the business stage and showing the world why Sri Lanka is a preferred outsourcing destination.
The keynote address on "Outsourcing vs. Restructuring" would be made by Avinash Vashista, Chairman of Accenture, Bangalore, India while the keynote presentation on
