JWT prepares for the next wave of creativity

-

JWT Sri Lanka commenced their employee-training calendar for 2012 by organising an overseas training program for the entire office from February 3rd to 7th, 2012.

Each & every staff member irrespective of their management is attending this 5- day workshop at the Golden Triangle in India. During the tour, the team will travel to the cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur. According to company officials a total of 70 are taking part including 48 staff and their families.

" Just like the country itself, JWT Sri Lanka today stands at a huge cross-section of opportunities - across clients, product categories & communication disciplines. With a legacy of many firsts behind us, interactions such as these are powerful mechanisms to unleash fresh streams of innovations & breakthroughs. We are looking forward to this session, which would not just rejuvenate our teams but also help us to intensively

collaborate & co- create the future pathways for our clients & brands."

He further added - "This initiative comes as part of our longstanding history of making consistent efforts to invest in our people. The annual training investment per employee made by JWT Sri Lanka is arguably the best in the industry.

A recent case in point has been our global ' High Potentials Group' program that handpicks exceptional talent from across the world and invests consistently in improving their skills & competencies for future roles in the agency. I am happy to mention that Ralston Joseph, one of our homegrown talents, was the pick for this year and he's just returned from Kualalumpur, Malaysia after attending a weeklong training program conducted by the world- famous transformation coach - Franklin Covey. And this is just one of the things, Ralston would be invested with during the year."

Remarkably, employee's families play an integral role in our work lives and indirectly contribute immensely to an organisations' success. Yet very few companies take note of this fact. Working late evenings and weekends occurs on a regular basis in the advertising industry with tight deadlines. Hence, JWT recognized the importance of opening theoff- site retreat to employee's families as well.
