-

Hatton National Bank PLC inaugurated HNB Pathum Vimana 2012 by taking the streets of Sri Lanka by storm, covering the length and breadth of the nation through its " Rata Hadanaath" ( Hands that Build the Nation) campaign. The campaign was launched in conjunction with the HNB Pathum Vimana 2012 launch and the Independence Day.

Four HNB Pathum Vimana mobile floats took the streets of the country from Devinuwara, Chilaw, Point Pedro and Batticaloa on 1st February 2012 to reach Colombo on the evening of the 3rd of February with painted flags. The general public from all walks of life were encouraged to paint the line drawings of National Flags mounted on to the mobile trucks pledging the solidification of the peoples' passion to build a nation of prosperity.

The flag was received with great enthusiasm by people from all walks of life including school children and members of the clergy. The flag took colour along the way as the HNB floats moved from town to town stopping by at key HNB customer centers where people flocked to colour the National flags. This initiative was received by the public with very positive feedback, where many participants even went to the extent of removing their footwear as a mark of respect for the flag prior to mounting on to the trucks to paint the flags.

The initiative was hailed by the public as a true exemplary epitome that saw the participation of Sri Lankans from all corners of the country representing all nationalities. This they stated was a real symbol of national unity that weaved all hands that build the nation. The painted flags on the mobile trucks were not a mere painting but the aspirations, unity and heartfelt commitment of the Sri Lankan people towards a bank and a nation united under the shade of one flag.

All the painted flags were brought to the HNB Kollupitiya customer center on the morning of Independence Day on 4th February 2012 where HNB Pathum Vimana 2012 was launched ceremoniously with the true national spirit amidst the presence of many customers and well- wishers that represented

a sample of the millions of Sri Lankans who stood with HNB over the years as a pillar of strength to build and nurture a bank that has now become a colossus strength to the nation and its economy.

The launch of HNB Pathum Vimana 2012 on Independence Day with its Rata Hadanaath campaign is a true testimony of a bank committed towards the nation, its economy and its people.
