Achievers produces a history maker – A double world prize winner

-

Dating back to my pre teenage reminds me of the many dreams and desires I had. One thing that I remember well about my childhood is how much I wanted things, with an imagination running wild.

I wanted to be a doctor, a scientist, wanted to explore jungles, and then to be one of those great commanding officers.

Some of the dreams I saw were small, and some were huge. A part of me knew that I couldn’t have them all (I mean some of them were flatly contradictory),but I still could dream about.i could still want it and I knew I could have whatever dream won out.i had confidence in my own dreams.

As I grew I realized how much of interest I sought in Fashion designing, and developed my vision to be the World’s best Fashion Entrepreneur.

I think it was all that wanting and dreaming that has made me be what I am today.passion is the driver towards achieving all that you desire, but more than anything believing in yourself, because, if you accept who you are and revel in it, you can definitely surpass your goals.

I studied at Ilma International Girls’ School, accomplishing many things during my school life. Participated in inter house and interschool competitions and I have emerged as a winner of many Gold and Bronze medals. I was appointed as a prefect in the year 2008/09, fulfilled my duties with hard work and sincerity. Afterwards I succeeded to be chosen as Head prefect for the year 2009/10. I enjoyed being one, learnt a lot from it, accomplished my duties successfully and was awarded STAR OF THE YEAR 2009/10.

On graduating from school,i was very careful on taking the next best step on my career ladder.in walking towards my vision of becoming an entrepreneur, I aspired to do MBA in management, which I wanted to follow on completion of a Professional course.

So I decided to pursue CIMA at Achievers Lanka Business School, one of the most esteemed CIMA institutes.my sister who was also pursuing CIMA inspired me to take up this course courageously and follow it at Achievers. Following an interview with Mr. Faris Ismail, the CEO of Achievers, my confidence was boosted tremendously and I felt there was no better course that would suit my career best.

Today I feel so happy to have chosen the best career path for myself.to have won 2 World Prizes for F1 and P1 in one session and to have emerged as a history maker makes me feel overwhelmed.

To be standing as a girl outshining the world today is definitely because of the unending support of my family. The love and care of my mom, dad, sis and granny is not an expressible one. They have made every day that dawned to be beautiful.the invaluable love and devotion of my mother, hard work and commitment of my father have always helped me bridge the gap between what I wanted and what I couldn’t quite get. I hope to reach for the stars with their unstinting support and show up with flying colours in the future to come as well.
