Expressing his views on the opening of the latest Speed Water Distribution Centre in Armour Street, Mr. N. Delgoda, Chairman, Speed Water Systems (Pvt) Ltd., said: The people of Armour Street Colombo 12, have always cherished their traditional values and for generations led a life influenced by rich customs and norms. They have engaged in conventional businesses and avenues of employment.
Armour Street is a heavily built-up town. Therefore, the land area is limited and this had led to congestion in the market survey we conducted, it was found that there is a heavy demand for purified bottled water in this area. We identified the specific problem of the inadequacy in the supply of bottled water to the people of this important area situated a few kilometers away from the metropolis, he said.
This meant that purified bottled water was not readily available to the residents at the required time and in the required quantities. This has caused immense inconvenience to consumers as well as traders in this area. In the new Speed Water Distribution Centre we have opened, purified bottled water in 500ml, 1000ml, 1500ml, 5 liter small bottles and 19 liter big bottles along with Dispensers can be purchased in any quantity, Mr. Delgoda said.
Established in 2003, Speed Water Systems (Pvt) Limited is a sister concern of Sritrims (Far East) Ltd, Hong Kong based manufacturer and supplier in the fashion industry, has introduced innovative, state of the art know how and technology and new marketing strategies to the Sri Lanka Bottle Water Industry.
