Psychology course at Horizon Campus
Psychology is a single most valuable and reliable source of knowledge about human behaviour. Not only does it offer a fascinating body of findings and knowledge about human behaviour but also provides a way of looking at the world- and ourselves- that everyone can and should gain with the course of Psychology. Psychology is important as it is concerned with the study of behavior and mental processes and at the same time, it is also applied to many different aspects of human life. Everything we perform is very much related to or with psychology. Psychology, primarily studies, who and what we are, why we behave, act and think the way we do and what we could be as a person. Horizon Campus Malabe offers various courses in Psychology.
Horizon Campus was established in the year 2009 with the vision to impart quality education for aspirants who want to face life with contentment. Horizon Campus has the official recognition of the Govt. of Srilanka as an institute approved by the Board of Investment ( BOI). Degrees offered by the campus in partnership with KSOU are recognized and approved by the University Grant Commission of Sri Lanka (UGC) and UGC of India.
The Campus was established by the visionary leadership of Mr. Upul Darnagama. MBA. BSC (ACC.FM), FABE, Dip.in HRM, the CEO of Horizon Campus who believes in education. He is the founder of Horizon College International, which has become very popular within a short span of two years because of the quality and the discipline he believed and adopted. Horizoncampus has taken International syllabus from the well-known university Karnataka State Open University, India through i- Nurture, one of the leading educational solutions Pvt. Ltd from Bangalore to add a feather to the cap. The certifying body for the courses run at the campus is KSOU which is a world renowned university from India.
Horizon Campus has an experienced and well qualified staff from India and Sri Lanka who are endowed with the finest qualities of head and heart. Dr. R. M Premaratne PHD, M. Phil, PGDE, Ba(ceylon), formerly the Head of the Dept. of Early Childhood Education and Senior Lecturer, Dept. of Education Open University of Sri Lanka and also the visiting l e c t u rer of University of Colombo is the Head of the Department of Education at Horizon Campus
Ms. Amara Amarasinghe, Former Principal of Sanghamitta Balika Vidyalaya, Consultant to Sarvodaya and UNICEF, Mrs. Pushpa S. K. Dassanayake, former Service Advisor of Sri Jayawardanepura Educational Zone and lecturer of English at the Te a c h e r s ’ College Maharagama are the faculty for different courses.
