Traveler Global send Eskimo to the cleaners

Traveler Global sent Eskimo Fashion to the cleaners when they trounced the latter by 12 goals to nil in their MFA ‘A’ division knock-out football fixture at the Colombo City grounds recently. At half time Traveller Global held a 4-0 lead.

In the 6th minute of play Traveller Global were awarded a free kick which was goaled by left exreme M. Ismirley, who also added more goals in the 55th, 57th, and 72nd minutes.

Z. Ahamed the right extreme added a further two in the 30th and 40th minutes. The other scorers for Traveller Global were M.S.M. Akram in the 47th and 70th minutes, R.D. Ruwanthila­ke in the 45th minute, C.S. Amarasena in the 59th minute, A.L.M. Aleem in the 75th minute and the final in the 90th by left inside B.G. Shivanka.

The match was refereed by A.L.S. Chathurang­e, while K.A. Gunasena was co-ordinator and Anton Atapattua was the match commission­er. Kanishka shines for Expo Lanka

Left extreme, H.N. Kanishka shone for Expo Lanka when he booted three goals to give his side a 4-1 win over Hatton National Bank in their MFA ‘A’ division soccer match at the City League ground recently. At the break the winners led by two goals to one.

In the 16th minute, Kanishka put Expo Lanka one up and two minutes later, right extreme A.R.A. Shazny made it two nil.

After the turn around, Kanishka got his boot working again to fire two more goals in the 75th and 87th minutes to give Expo Lanka a convincing 4-1 win.

The solitary goal for the bankers was booted by N.L. Abeysekera.

The match was controlled by L.K.I. Udayakanth­a, while Piyal Perera was co-ordinator and Anton Atapattu was the match commission­er.
