In a journey to be armed with knowledge, practical exposure to the business world is vital. Students should not be laidback in their efforts to compete successfully in today’s world and Inter School Business Cup is the green pasture for Advanced level students all over the country to gain wisdom where they can make proud their mother school by winning the coveted Business Cup trophy.

The Inter School Business Cup competition is an annual quiz competition initiated by Department of Marketing Management of University of Kelaniya with a view of giving its undergraduates a hands-on experience on organizing a major project under the subject of Marketing in practice. This year the competition is to be held on 04th April 2012 at Sri Dharmaloka Convocation Hall, University of Kelaniya. With over 50 schools from all over the country participating, the Business Cup is a table quiz competition for teams of 5 students, where the competition will consist of 4 rounds of questions on business environment with the final round being a practical session.

Questions will be announced in English but translated to Sinhala and Tamil languages as well, so that anybody can answer in any of the three languages. The final practical session which will be an innovative team exercise will ensure that the students organizing skills, team work skills and leadership capabilities are measured. The Winning team will receive the coveted Business Cup Challenge trophy and the winners’ cup .Four more schools will be awarded trophies and certificate of merit for each member. All students will receive a special certificate of participation and valuable prizes.
