Jobsforthebest.lk live video interview web portal launched

-

An Australian website developer, WWWDESIGN, recently launched an interactive online career portal (website) for Sri Lankans which offers live video interview facilities, according to a statement by the company.

Situated at "jobs4thebest.com", "jobsforthebest.lk" and "jobsforthebest.com", the web portal is only accessible by registered employers, while job seekers must fill out an online questionnaire to allow them access. Further, the questionnaire also allows employers to gauge the candidates suitability for the job in question. Following this, registered employers will be allowed to pick appropriate job seekers and schedule a mutually beneficial day / time for the live online, video interview to take place.

For this service, registered employees will be charged between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 3,000 for submitted vacancies, under a three-tiered registration structure, which is payable via online credit card transactions.

According to WWWDESIGN Chief Executive Sumith Goonetilleke; "It is very difficult to find a suitable employee by merely advertising a vacancy. We decided to introduce screening mechanisms for the prospective employee, through setting up a questionnaire which will help screen the suitable candidate for the available position. Therefore employers won’t need to waste their valuable time going through every application. Employers can invite any employee for an online interview to be held at any time suitable for both parties, both parties can attend the interview from anywhere, thus creating a social recruitment experience".
