Brand Maestro Hashan Travis Haputhanthri launches his philosophy
Multi skilled , Marketing and Brand strategist/ tactician Hashan Travis Haputhanthri had his soft launch on his philosophy for brands called “TRAV IS BRANDSOLOGY” . Under the theme of “NEBULA – The TRAVIS philosophy” Hashan had his first lecture session for Marketing Institute of Singapore.
Hashan was warmly welcome by the Marketing Institute of Singapore and he had the lecture at Raeburn Park, Singapore.
With this philosophy he intends to modify the traditional marketing literature. The existence of a BRAND rather than a product being elaborated in detail. Speaking to The Sunday Times Education ,he said “I started to realize this when I started working for brands and that was 17 years ago. With my brand management, strategy and tactical experience, I thought I should deliver my thinking to the world who believes in brand management in practice. Most of the organizations are not aware of Brand Management, where even the concept of Marketing has not used properly” Hashan explained.
Hashan believes that in Sri Lanka, the brand management concept and the marketing management concept has not properly utilized. “I strongly believe that MARKETING concept has reached its decline. It is time to move towards the TRAVIS BRANDSOLOGY .
Most of the companies assumed that Marketing managers needs to increase sales and should make plans accordingly. This is wrong and due to this fact MARKETING CONCEPT is violated and destroyed over the years. I have real life examples and have face many situations in my life. Therefore I know.
With my philosophy, it will replace the traditional Marketing mix and the product life cycle with……………. and Travis brand journey. There it will explain in depth about brand management. Also, in my philosophy it will explains as to how to rate a Brand Manager, How to rate your own boss and how to select a brand oriented advertising agency. I must state that there are so called “bosses” or “leaders in marketing” in the industry who does not know BRAND MANAGEMENT. Hashan, suppose to launch his philosophy to the Asian region.
Hashan Travis Haputhanthri is the General Manager (Marketing) for DSL (PVT) LTD popularly known as Douglas and Sons (PVT) ltd , the market leader for world famous tyre brand GT Radial ,Global Maintenance free batteries and a first class range of spare parts including NGK spark plugs.
Having more than 17 years of brand marketing experience for both Food and Non Food, Hashan has handled global brands both local and overseas. He has gained exposure in the fields of People Marketing, Marketing, Sales, Advertising, International Marketing, Relationship Marketing, Coaching, Training, Lecturing and Mentoring in diverse Industries such as Soft drinks, Cellular, Newspapers, Biscuits, Dairy, Cordials, Breakfast Cereals, Tea, Chocolates, Noodles, Canned fish, Sanitaryware, Spices, Distribution, Re-distribution in FMCG and NON FMCG.
