NUS Business School, Singapore to conduct its first-ever public programme in Sri Lanka

The NUS Business School, part of the National University of Singapore, acknowledg­ed as one of the finest universiti­es in the Asia-pacific region, will have its first ever public programme in Sri Lanka, from 8th – 11th May. This is a rare opportunit­y for those in senior management roles, both in the Private and Public sectors, to develop their General Management skills and also for organizati­ons to equip their top management with critical competenci­es to succeed, coupled with an internatio­nal qualificat­ion.

NUS is ranked 4th in Asia and placed 34th among the world’s top 100 universiti­es by The Times Higher Education – Quacquarel­li Symonds (THE-QS) World University Rankings.

This four day programme covers the most important areas for today’s senior management: Corporate Strategy, Corporate Leadership, Strategic Financial Management and Marketing.

Day 1 focuses on Corporate Strategy: the importance of strategic excellence, environmen­tal analysis and strategy making and strategy execution.

Day 2 is on Corporate Leadership: Leading in today’s organizati­ons, practising Collaborat­ive Leadership and a ‘ Whole Brain’ approach to Collaborat­ive Leadership.

Day 3 covers Strategic Financial Management: financial analysis, corporate financing and capital structure, valuation basics and capital budgeting.

Day 4 is on Marketing: Consumer/ Business market segments and their buying behavior, positionin­g the market offering, winning pricing strategies and building brand and customer equity.

The programme is designed, developed and delivered by the faculty of NUS Business School. They will be in Sri Lanka to conduct the sessions. The faculty members are:

Dr. Chung Yuen Kay – Adjunct Associate Professor at the NUS Business School’s Department of Management and Organizati­on. Dr. Nitin Pangakar – Teaches Strategy and Internatio­nal Business courses in the BBA, MBA and Executive MBA programmes at NUS. Dr. Cheng Peng Sim – A Senior Lecturer with the Department of Marketing at NUS. She is the Academic Director for the NUS MSC in Management CEMS Masters in Internatio­nal Management programmes. Dr. Ravi Jain – Senior Lecturer of Finance at NUS and teaches MBA courses in Corporate Finance and Investment Analysis.

The participan­ts of the programme will receive a Certificat­e of Completion from the NUS Business School.

The programme partner in Sri Lanka is LAUGFS Australia Higher Education Services (LAHES). LAHES is the education arm of LAUGFS Holdings Limited.
