He further elaborated that there was demand for convenience and higher transaction limits during extended hours, which primarily encouraged HNB to venture in to Holiday / Extended Banking. “This will substantially enhance our presence in the Colombo area and raise the bar in terms of convenience and enhanced service to our customers” he stated.

The Holiday / Extended Banking Centre at Wellawatte is modeled on a facility similar to the set up at the HNB Kandy City Centre Complex, which is the only other Bank Counter in the island to offer limitless extended banking hours on a 360 day basis.

These customer centers would be linked to HNB’S 240 Branches and its 400 strong ATM network in Sri Lanka, offering customers the full benefits of seamless IT integration that is one of the key strengths of the Bank. The Customer Centers are based on their proprietary design, offering the ultimate in banking standards, extended banking hours and simplicity in banking.
