British Council Achievers CPD joins hands with SLFFA/AITT in launching the Logistics & International Trade (LIT) Programmes

-

Logistics is an ever expanding industry with seamless opportunities both locally and internationally. Achievers commenced the year 2012 in grand fashion by launching the Logistics & International Trade Programmes ( LIT). Achievers is happy to announce that this was possible due to the merger of Achievers with the Sri Lanka Freight Forwarders Association ( SLFFA) & the Academy of International Trade and Transport (AITT). The SLFFA is affiliated to the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations ( FIATA) & associated with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific ( UNESCAP). The agreement was signed by Mr. Ravi Edirisinghe – Chairman, Achievers CPD and Mr. Mohan S Mohanadas - Chairman SLFFA on the12th of January 2012. With this merger, Achievers is now the Exclusive Tuition Providing Institution to facilitate well-renowned logistics & freight forwarding qualifications that are internationally recognized.

Another highlight of this merger is the re- structure of the courses that were provided by SLFFA/ AITT. The re-structure enables the students to follow each of the levels and top up with the FIATA international Diploma, more in line with the requirements of FIATA. This is beneficial to the student in numerous ways since the student not only does gain individual qualifications in each of the levels, but also receives exemptions for the FIATA International Diploma, post completion of the Advanced Diploma Level.

The Logistics and International Trade ( LIT) Programmes are tailored to suit beginners as well as professionals, both experienced and inexperienced in a relevant industry. During this merger it was also announced that the Computer Based Assessments (CBA) will be used for MCQ based assessments. Furthermore, National prizes as well as job placements with top logistics companies will be arranged awarded for the students from the year 2012 onwards. Discussions are also in the process to link these prospective graduates to directly follow a Bachelors Degree in logistics upon completion of the FIATA International Diploma. Courses provided:
