IDM Partners with University of Wolverhampton UK to Provide Full Degree Programmes in ICT
Ever since its establishment in 1981, IDM Nations Campus has been instrumental in bringing in Higher Education opportunities to the Sri Lankan students. Marking yet another milestone, IDM Nations Campus partners with University of Wolverhampton to deliver full specialised degree programmes in Sri Lanka. With this partnership IDM Nations Campus is now geared to provide six (6) specialised Degree programmes to ICT professional aspirants.
The specialisation fields include Computing, Software Development, Computer Networks, Multimedia, Management IT and Computer Systems Engineering.
IDM has produced thousands of graduates and graduals with its affiliations with universities around the globe; having the prime focus on employability of those graduating from their programs, catering to the diversified needs of the ICT industry. Considering the latest developments and the trends of global ICT industry and their impact, IDM foresee the requirements of dedicated specialised ICT Professionals in different areas and develop new programmes to suit them.
With our long standing relationship with the university since the year 2006, we have been able to provide Bachelors Degree Programmes and Postgraduate/ Masters Degree Programmes for the benefit of Sri Lankan students. As an effort to groom the specialised knowledge, skills and expertise required in developing the future ICT Professional we have come into this latest arrangement with the University of Wolverhampton.

Full Degree Programme at IDM Nations Campus, Sri Lanka
The Full Degree programmes offered at our campus will provide a great opportunity for our students to be groomed in to achieving their career aspirations. The programmes are equipped with specially developed modules to develop their core competencies to match with the requirements of the industry. Specialised core modules, stream specific core modules, language & communication skills modules coupled with project work is set to give the learner the required knowledge, skills and the expertise of the industry they wish to be a part of. A very special feature of this degree programme is the final year of the degree is conducted by the university lecturers from the Wolverhampton visiting Sri Lanka giving a truly British education experience to our students.
Internships for IDM Nations Campus Undergraduates
For all the students following the three (3) year degree programme, there is a compulsory internship module. The internship is an opportunity for the students to put their knowledge & skills they have learnt throughout the programme to test, develop skills that will be vital to be a part of a team and gain valuable experience of being a part of a real-time functioning organisation. The students will be placed on real- time assignments/ projects as interns. This internship will provide them the opportunity for gainful employment with the respective corporate entities that they are engaged with.
Special Skills Development Programmes for the Undergraduates
Our undergraduates are provided with ample opportunities to learn and acquire industry specific skills. The programmes are offered in association with industry/ trade certification bodies. The programmes are set to provide the students with the expertise skills needed to carry out the jobs. Also our event calendars are filled with events to develop the soft skills such as leadership, team building, group work, communication skills of the undergraduates. Undergraduate to Postgraduate Qualifications, with Research opportunities
With our strong affiliations with our university partners we also provide Masters Qualification opportunities and Research & Development opportunities to our students. With the University of Wolverhampton we provide two (2) Masters Degree programmes in IT Management and Strategic IT Management; followed up with the opportunity to complete their PH.D. qualification in Sri Lanka.
