CELSKIDS Holiday Camp - Teach them young!!!!

CELSKIDS Holiday Camp for children between the age groups 5 – 12 years will be held on 11th August 2012 at the Centre for English Language Skills (CELS) 24, Averihena Road, Polhengoda ,Colombo 05. from 10 a.m. to 5.p.m.

Holiday Camp is a very popular event among the young during the holiday season as there are many activities scheduled to make it a fun day. Communication and social interaction, enhancing English language through a range of activity based programmes like storytelling, quizzes and language games to enrich knowledge and give them freedom of expression. Introduction of general etiquette, stimulating activities to develop skills and appreciating the form of art are just a few activities based on the day’s mini workshop. Making their own cards, painting and collage work, kite making, icing a cup cake are a few activities that is bound to create interest. Group activities and games help them with team work and the art of communication. Lunch and tea will be served at the workshop. The cost per child will be Rs. 1500/=. Parents are required to register early to avoid disappointment.

The Centre for English Language Skills began as the Zulfika Musafer School of English in 1975. Students are trained and prepared for both local and foreign examinations in Spoken and Written English, Speech and Drama, Effective Communication and the allied subjects.

Over the years, the school has maintained a consistent record of a high level of achievement at the graded examinations in Speech, Drama and the allied subjects, consolidating its position with several prize winners bringing credit to the school.
