The Amazing Spider-man

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker, an orphan who has been raised by his loving relatives. Though Uncle Ben and Aunt May have raised him like he was their own child, Peter misses his parents.

One day Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father and it triggers his quest to understand his parents' disappearance. He wants to know what his father was working on and his search leads him directly to the company Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors, his father's former partner.

As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero. Spider-Man after he’s bitten by a strange spider.

Emma Stone plays Gwen Stacy, the girl he has a crush on. Smart and caring, Gwen is the one person Spiderman trusts completely.

Rhys Ifans plays the brilliant but disturbed Dr. Curt Connors.

For his role as the Lizard, Rhys hys Ifans wore a special pecial motion-capture re suit: "I had a green suit on, and then this cardboard head, and these se big claws. It was the most insane thing I'd ever done..."

When Peter first enters Gwen's room, take a look at the pile of books by the window. On top of the stack is the novel ‘Seabiscuit’. Tobey Maguire, who portrayed Peter/Spider-Man in the original trilogy, also played the lead character in the film adaptation, Seabiscuit – could this be a small tribute to him and the original trilogy?
