Pathum Chinthaka is ‘Most Handsome’
Masters Bodybuilding and Fitness Association of Sri Lanka conducted its bodybuilding and fitness show at Torrington, Colombo last Saturday. Air Force SC earned major honours at the meet which had many events to select winners under the categories of BestBodybuilder of Western Province, Sri Lanka’s Most Muscular Man, Handsome Boy and Slim Girl competitions.
The Sri Lanka Most Handsome title was won by Pathum Chinthaka. Madura Priyadarshana won its second place while Daniel Wickrematunga was placed third.
Biyanka Maduranga of CMC who also won the WP Under-21 category was adjudged the Mr. Western Province. The Veteran category of Mr. Western Province competition was won by A.D.N.K. Hewawasam of Power Fitness SC.
A.D.N.P. Hewawasam of Power Fitness SC won the ‘Best Back’ category of Sri Lanka Most Muscular Man competition. Hewawasam also won the ‘Best Abdominal’ category. Airman Suresh Karunatilleke won the ‘Best Leg’ category of the competition while his team went on to clinch a hat-trick of individual titles. Karunatilleke also claimed the ‘Best Chest’ category while his team mate Anura Perera won the ‘Best Arm’ category.
Biyanka Maduranga representing Colombo Municipal Council clinched the Western Province Under-21 Best Bodybuilder’s title while Chanuka Hasith of Bodystyle SC and Sajith Ashan of Fitness Master Gym were placed second and third respectively. N.V. Hewawasam of Power Fitness SC won the WP 55kg cate- gory while Asanka Dinesh of Mirigama Barbell SC Darshana Ranmudu of Army SC won the second and third places respectively. The WP 60kg category was won by Namal Sanjeewa of Mirigama Barbell SC while the second place was won by L.D. Prabath of Don Bosco SC. The third place went to A.M. Perera of Navy SC. The armed forces swept the top three places of WP 65kg as Suresh Karunathilleke of Air Force SC went on to claim the top spot. W.R. Silva of Navy SC won the second place while Thilanka Kumara of Army SC was placed third.
Amila Ushantha of The Wiz Gym won the WP 70kg weight category as Sisira Priyankara of Chandra Barbell SC was placed second ahead of H.P. Pathirana of Army SC. Chaminda Peiris of Air Force SC won the WP 75kg weight class as his team mate Madhuki Sameera claimed the second spot. Navy SC’s S.R.K. Jayawardena won the third place. Air Force SC went on to dominate the WP 80kg weight category as Udara Mendis won the top spot followed by his team mate Upul Kamal who went on to win the second spot. Muscle Master Gym’s Chandana Amarawickrama won the third place. Airman R. Lakshman won the WP 85kg category as he was followed by team mate K.C. Thushara while Janith Bandukumara of Power Man SC won the third place. Navy SC’s T.H.R. Savinda went on to clinch the WP 85kg title followed by Anura Perera of Air Force SC and M.D. Anuruddha of Navy SC.
The Sri Lanka Slim Girl competition was won by Shanika Priyadarshani while Sithara Dilrukshi and Nadeesha Dhananjaya followed at second and third places respectively. The secretary of Sports Council Darshan Pathirana graced the occasion as the chief guest.
