Fun-filled holiday programme for kids
MILK, Colombo’s specialised kids bookshop and educational toy store down Barnes’ Place is introducing a fun-filled holiday programme for kids aged 4 – 12. Designed as daily two- hour workshops, the programme will be run under the guidance of well experienced teachers in a relaxed environment.
The next series of workshops will run for two weeks from August 13 – 25.
The first week will consist of MILK’s regular art & craft team Fazna Farook & Najla Yehiya teaching kids painting on canvas and jute, conducting a ‘recycle your materials’ workshop and a group collage and painting day where the kids will create their own underwater sea creature.
The second week will feature: a dramatized narration of one of Sybil Wettasinghe’s stories by puppeteer Sulochana Dissanayake; A Make-a-Monster workshop, run by illustrator Isuri Dayaratne where kids will get to build their own make believe monsters out of cardboard; Fun with Beads – making a beaded photo frame run by Emerge, a charity organization; Foam Fun – making fun items with foam sheets and stickers by Foam Crafts and cookery workshops.
