AOD’S REVEAL ’12 highlights great impact of internatio­nal design education on local design industries

REVEAL 2012 by Sri Lanka’s Internatio­nal Design campusAOD, was launched last Friday with an exclusive event and remained open to the public over the weekend.REVEAL 2012 included the most contempora­ry projects in fashion, interior design, graphic design and photograph­y and demonstrat­ed the remarkable results of the internatio­nal standard education offered at AOD.

A large number of design industry profession­als from advertisin­g, web design, animation, interior architectu­re, fashion, apparel and photograph­y attended the event and were greatly impressed by the creative skills and the profession­alism of AOD’s graduates. Their great enthusiasm by industries for fresh creativity was testimony to the positive impact of design education on all creative industries.

The exhibition was also a rare opportunit­y for prospectiv­e design students view the design work by graduates and get a comprehens­ive insight to the project work, curricula and education at AOD.

In the aim of making internatio­nal design education more accessible to Sri Lankans, AOD also discussed possible bursaries and scholarshi­ps with interested new students at the event.

AOD is one of South Asia’s most dynamic design campuses, and offers youth internatio­nal standard design education through one of Europe’s top 5 design schools; Northumbri­a University, School of Design UK. REVEAL ‘ 12 brought together this internatio­nal design knowledge on a platform accessible to all Sri Lankans.
