CA Sri Lanka is now accepting registrati­ons from students awaiting AL results

Students who have successful­ly completed their Advanced Level Examinatio­n and are awaiting their results can now register for the globally recognized Chartered Accounting course offered at the Institute of Chartered Accountant­s of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka).

As a special offer, the Institute is also offering students a 50 percent discount on the registrati­on fee charged when registerin­g for the globally renowned course.

With a student base of over 37,000, the Institute is today among the largest tertiary education providers in the country outside the university system, giving the opportunit­y for students from both rural and urban areas to follow a globally recognized chartered accounting course right here in Sri Lanka.

In a history spanning 53 years, the Institute has been instrument­al in produc- ing an impressive number of chartered accountant­s who have played and continue to play an important role in the country’s corporate world.

Chartered accountant­s are held in high esteem both by society and the business world. Of the present 4200 CA Sri Lanka members, approximat­ely 30 percent of the members serve in top positions overseas scattered across the globe in all continents, which is testament to its qualificat­ions being globally recognised.

Students, who follow the CA course, also have the advantage of undergoing three years practical training from a well-estab- lished and recognized organizati­on in the country.

Practical training plays a vital role in building the required skills and competenci­es of a profession­al, hence, completion of specified training requiremen­ts have become an essential part to become a Chartered Accountant.

At present, the Institute has over 600 training partners, covering a large spectrum of industries in both public practice and non-public practice sectors.

CA Sri Lanka qualified chartered accountant­s enjoy unparallel­ed success in both the accounting and non- accounting sec- tors. Accountant­s play a major role in most of the large companies in Sri Lanka, with approximat­ely 70 percent from the top 50 companies listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange having at least one CA Sri Lanka member on their Board.
