Sri Lanka's best companies to work for

The Great Place to Work Institute, in partnership with the Employers' Federation of Ceylon, the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and a local magazine will be launching a study on ' Sri Lanka's Best Companies to Work for in 2013'.

The study will comprise of a list of the top organisations to work in Sri Lanka based on the perception of employees. Thus, the list is based on criteria such as credibility of management, respect and fairness, as well as pride and camaraderie experienced by employees, the chamber said in a statement.

The Great Place To Work Institute is a global research, consulting and training firm that helps organizations identify, create and sustain great workplaces through the development of high-trust work place cultures.

"The challenge for all employers and employees alike is to strengthen workplace relations that would result in low staff turnover, higher productivity and better benefits to workers and employers. Participation in the Study would give an organization many benefits including the opportunity to retain talent and attract some of the best talent the country has to offer," the chamber statement said.

Globally, the studies on best workplaces by Great Place to Work Institute are covered by publications such as Fortune, Time and the Economic Times.
