K-AIMS achieves ACCA Gold Status

-

K-AIMS incorporated in 2009 as an ACCA tuition provider, reflected its well-earned reputation for providing a strong foundation to ACCA students by being recognized recently as a Gold Status tuition provider.

The Gold approval requires tuition providers to meet a range of challenging performance targets covering the institution’s overall management and more specifically its ACCA course management and delivery. In addition to the challenging performance targets that have been demonstrated by the institution to attain this approval, the tuition provider must also meet ACCA’s Gold performance targets and pass rates. Therefore, in order to be granted Gold status, the Institute had to fulfill a set of rigorous criteria set by ACCA. These were designed to demonstrate that K-AIMS meets the challenging performance targets, representing global best practice in the provision of ACCA course tuition, delivery, management and support. Courses offered at K- AIMS include ACCA Foundations in Accountancy, ACCA Qualification and the Oxford Brookes BSc Hons in Applied Accounting.

Mr. Kumanan the founder of K-AIMS expressed delight at this recognition and stated “We are very proud to be recognised by ACCA for the quality of tuition given to our students and we are determined to continue to offer the best standard of tuition possible to our students. We insist on smaller classes which are conducted during the week- ends at convenient times and prioritize on giving personal attention to our students . Education is the sole way for the young generation to come up in life and make their dreams happen. To do this they need a qualification that should be widely recognized, highly skilled and include real enterprise exposure. We currently focus only on ACCA and we are geared to respond with innovation and speed to changing needs and expectations around teaching and learning and develop new ways of ensuring that academic content is delivered in a way appropriate to a changing global market. We look forward to working closely with ACCA and helping more and more students to achieve their career ambitions.”

Ms. Nilusha Ranasinghe, Head of ACCA Sri Lanka also commented on this achievement and pointed out that “To be considered for Gold status, tuition providers must meet the challenging performance targets that have been demonstrated to attain and meet ACCA’s Gold performance tar- gets .This is not an easy task and this recognition is a result of the commitment K- AIMS has made to put in place systems and processes to monitor and continuously improve the performance of their students and consequently the performance of the institute itself. We congratulate K- AIMS on their achievement and look forward to working together with them to enhance the ACCA experience for students in Sri Lanka.”

Providing the right learning environment and required resources geared to maintain a diverse student population, K-AIMS currently comprises a carefully selected panel of well qualified lecturers with the required skills, dedication, patience, experience and a passion to teach. They currently have two branches which are located in Bamabalapitiya and Jaffna.

Their mission is to cater and offer support to two different sets of students who come from different backgrounds and to assure that whoever learns ACCA at K- AIMS will get same level of non-tolerated quality. Whilst celebrating their success, K- AIMS will continue to offer relevant academic and professional learning, combined with strong career development opportunities for their students.
