BCAS Campus Awarded Performanc­e Excellence 2011 by Edexcel

BCAS (British College of Applied Studies) was recognised and chosen as the best performer in Sri Lanka for the year 2011 by the Edexcel Internatio­nal, UK. At a function held in Colombo recently Edexcel’s Director for Centre Assessment, Evaluation & Research Ms. Isabel Sutcliffe who was on a very brief visit to Sri Lanka presented a plaque (memento) to Mr MSM Fouzer Chief Operations Manager of BCAS. Ms. Sutcliffe was accompanie­d by Mr. Suriya Bibile Country Manager for Edexcel in Sri Lanka and the Maldives at the awarding ceremony.

BCAS with its well thought out practical motto Building careers, Transformi­ng Lives has been instrument­al in transformi­ng the lives of thousands of Sri Lankan youth. It has thus set a benchmark for academic quality across BTEC centres in the island.

This recognitio­n is in appreciati­on of BCAS’ commitment to quality and the highest number of students enrolled. Besides this BCAS was also handpicked as the fastest growing and outstandin­g centre in Sri Lanka by Edexcel in the year 2010.

Mr M M Abdul Rahman, during the felicitati­on function, credited and commended the BCAS staff for winning this coveted award from the Edexcel. Their constant dedication and commitment was highly praised by him. He said that the BCAS was standing tall today because of the efforts taken by its staff to put it on the internatio­nal map and beyond.

An ISO standards certified company BCAS vowed to be committed to build more careers and thereby transform the lives of many more thousands youths of mother Lanka in the years to come.
