Horizon Campus has now achieved another first in Sri Lanka by signing a Memorandum of Understanding ( MOU) with Lyceum International School, one of Sri Lanka’s reputed and recognized international schools to award 100% scholarships to students of Lyceum who are high achievers. The MOU was signed by Upul Daranagama – Chief Executive Officer, on behalf of Horizon College of Business Technology and Kumari Grero – Coordinating Principal, Lyceum Group of International Schools on September 11, 2012.

Students who obtain three ‘A’ grades in any stream at the GCE A/L, or two best performing students recommended by Lyceum stand to get a 50% waiver on tuition fees on their chosen course of study at Horizon Campus.

The MOU also covers added facilities to the staff at Lyceum. As such, Horizon, with a view to strengthening staff skills, had offered Lyceum’s academic staff a 25% reduction on tuition fees upon meeting the entry criteria for the Karnataka State Open University’s programmes leading to the Bachelor of Education degree.

KSOU, established in 1996 under the State Enactment KSOU Act 1992, has a strong genesis of the Institute of Correspondence Course and Continuing Course and C o n t i nuing Educat i o n (ICC&CE) – which is a pioneer in the Asian continent.

Living up to their Vision of providing ‘A truly inspired learning experience in a holistic environment’ Horizon Campus gives its undergraduate and diploma students not just academic knowledge and an attendant degree or a diploma but also an inner fulfillment that comes with the ideal facilities it offers through its comfortable, well furnished Wi- Fi enabled lecture rooms, well equipped library for reference, modern laboratories including a psychology laboratory, reading rooms and a computer laboratory, and a host of recreational facilities to help students relax and unwind after hours of concerted study.

Further, the management of Horizon also offers transport facilities to those who may require the same to reach the campus, and return to their respective destinations at the end of the day.

This new venture between Horizon and Lyceum – two renowned institutes of learning, could be considered a precursor to more enterprising and innovative areas in education that the discerning public in the country can look forward to in the days to come.
