Gateway celebrates - 15 years of Flying Colours

Gateway’s kids programme that enables Sri Lankan children to become confident IT users from an early age, is celebratin­g its 15th anniversar­y this year. The quindecenn­ial event will be marked by a grand and colourful Kite Festival, themed 15 years of flying colours, at the Galle Face Green, on the 29th of September from 2.00 pm onwards.

The festival will include exciting competitio­ns such as The most elegant kite, The best sky scraper, The longest kite, The most innovative kite, The youngest kite flyer , The best kite to incorporat­e company Logo and The best colourful costume - Fancy dress parade. The competitio­ns are open to various age categories making sure that the whole family can enjoy the event. Apart from the competitio­ns, participan­ts can simply enjoy flying their kites during the festival.

Gateway Kids School of Computing has emerged to be a leader in education providing high quality computer training to thousands of students in Sri Lanka and abroad. During the short span of a decade and a half, Gateway Group has establishe­d 4 Internatio­nal Schools, a Graduate School, a chain of 30 IT training centres in all districts of the country, 28 English Language learning centres, 8 centres of Speech and Drama, a software consultanc­y firm and many other educationa­l entities in Sri Lanka. Gateway also has a chain of Kindergart­ens in Oxford, UK. Gateway’s school based ICT programme has so far been introduced to 12 countries in 3 continents.

Gateway offers a variety of internatio­nally certified courses for young learners, teenagers, school leavers and adults through Gateway Kids School of Computing, Gateway Centre for Informatio­n Technology, Gateway Language Centre and Gateway School of Speech and Drama. Courses are available in the areas of basic skills developmen­t, academic developmen­t, profession­al and career enhancemen­t.

Gateway Centre for Informatio­n Technology (CFICT), that caters to adult computer training and the Gateway Language centre, that caters to English language training of both young learners and adults too will join in the celebratio­ns.
