The PIXEL Awards

The Australian Catholic University (ACU) recently held an awards ceremony for winners of the ‘PIXEL’ photograph­y competitio­n.

The awards ceremony held at Taj Samudra and Mr Gotabaya Jayarathne, Secretary to the Ministry of Education was the Chief Guest, and was also present HE Robyn Mudie, Australian High Commission­er to Sri Lanka, Ms Liz Hern, Associate Director (Internatio­nal) and Ms Colma Fechner, Regional Manager (South Asia) of Australian Catholic University, Ms Sonya Boylan, Head of Immigratio­n of Australian High Commission and Mr David Samuel, Business Developmen­t Manager of Australian Trade Commission.

Certificat­es were presented to students who won the first three prizes at the PIXEL competitio­n as well as to all participan­ts to encourage them to enhance their skills in photograph­y.

Several photograph­s submitted by students were also displayed at the awards ceremony. ACU also invited parents, principals, academics and special invites for the awards ceremony.
