With regard to the cost factor, students could obtain both a Degree and a frozen ATPL at a lower cost through this study programme than obtaining them separately. Students will be able to complete the entire Degree Programme in Sri Lanka thus making further savings on high living costs abroad. Whilst there will be proper instructional sessions, certain sessions of the course will be delivered via a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) with students not having to travel anywhere else in the world to complete the Degree.

Private Pilot License (PPL)
If you are over 17 years, you qualify to obtain a Private Pilot License. This license allows you to fly single- engine aircraft, which you are typerated for. It is a license to learn, maintain, and improve flight proficiency.
A Private Pilot may not be paid to fly an aircraft (e.g. to ferry an aircraft from one location to another) nor carry passengers or cargo for hire or compensation.
Your first few flying lessons will help you become familiar with the aircraft you are training in with basic maneuvers under visual flight rules or VFR. VFR encompasses flying by looking outside and using visual cues for aircraft control and navigation. You learn about the airport traffic pattern and radio communications with Air Traffic Control (ATC). Your Private Pilot License can be further upgraded to advanced commercial and professional licenses.
Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
The ATPL (Frozen) with integrated Commercial Pilot License and Instrument Rating, plus the MultiEngine endorsement is designed specifically for those who seek to pursue command of the high–flying jets.
This license will enable you to pursue a career in commercial aviation. The course is geared towards the standards and completion of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) examinations, Sri Lanka being an ICAO member state.
