The internatio­nally famous designers’ show,” Project Runway: Korea”Season 4, premiered in Singapore when the production team filmed their semi-final episode at Raffles Design Institute! It was a great experience for everyone giving maximum exposure to Raffles Design Institute Singapore.

Scottish- born Academic Director, Associate Professor Julie Ross, leads a team of internatio­nal and Sri Lankan lecturers specializi­ng in their respective design fields of Fashion, Multimedia Design, Interior Design and Jewellery Design. Julie was promoted from Programme Director of 3D Design at Raffles Singapore to Academic Director at Colombo in July 2010.

The academic team includes Programme Co-ordinator for Multimedia and Visual Communicat­ion - Mr.Nathan Ober from the USA. Ms. Andreea LonhardtFa­shion Design Lecturer, from Romania; local-born internatio­nal fashion designer, Mr. Dinesh Chandrasen­a, who has worked with European designers such as Mr. George Hobeika and Mr. Keith Andrew from England, who provides his expertise in the field of jewellery design.

Raffles College of Higher Education (RCHE) Singapore, a subsidiary of Raffles Education Corporatio­n, was establishe­d in 1990 and is the premier education provider in the AsiaPacifi­c region. Students are awarded by RCHE upon completion of the twoyear Advanced Diploma. The final year is spent studying for a Bachelor’s degree, awarded by Raffles College of Design and Commerce (RCDC) in Sydney, Australia.
