RCobbie Williams smashed his way to the top of the UK singles chart with “Candy” this week. The pop debuted at No:1 following sales of 137,000 copies since it was uploaded on October 28. He also performed it live on

on the same day. Candy is Robbie’s seventh solo No: 1 in the UK while his over all total as a member of Take That is 14. “Candy” is not one of the 38 year singer’s best songs when one takes some of his previous hit songs. But given the fact that it was barred from Radio 1 because of Robbie’s age the very fact he clipped the top spot in just a few days is remarkable. His Take That band mate Gary Barlow co-wrote the song with “Todd” Terje Olsen. The song will appear on his new album ‘Take The Crown’. Robbie’s solo No:1 songs have been ‘Millennium’ – 1998, ‘She’s The One/It’s Only Us’ – 1999, ‘Rock DJ’ – 2000, ‘Eternity/The Road To Mandalay’ – 2001, ‘Somethin’ Stupid’ (with Nicole Kidman) – 2001 and ‘Rock DJ’ – 2004. His last top 10 song was ‘Shame’ with Gary Barlow which peaked at No:2 in 2010. hris Brown the one time bad boy of pop has been given the green light to tour Europe by a judge as he is “in compliance” with his probation for the assault charge related to his then fiancé Rihanna. STtatus Quo has reunited their original line up after 30 years for a five day tour next year. The band announced on November 3 they will play at four venues across the UK on five days in March 2012. ‘Rocking All Over The World’, ‘Caroline’ and ‘In The Army Now’ were some of their best known hits. Status Quo were very popular in the 70’s and 80’s and were the opening act for the Live Aid Concert in 1985 to raise funds for the famine effected people in Ethiopia. he second highest new entry on the UK chart was ‘Can You Hear Me (Ayayaya)’ by The British rapper was joined by fellow rappers Skepta and JME while the vocal on the chorus was contribute­d by compatriot MsD. The song is the second single from Wiley and follow up to his No:1 hit from August ‘Heatwave’ which also had MsD. The RnB singer whose real name is Dayo Olatunji co-wrote ‘Can You Hear Me’.
