With the 10 years’ experience domestical­ly and 67 years’ experience in the global market, the main objective is to share the successful business model of a family owned multinatio­nal business with the young generation to be entreprene­urial, job creators, to be innovative and to contribute its share to the socio economic developmen­t of Sri Lanka.

The four schools selected to participat­e in the project are: Ananda College &Visaka Vidyalaya from Colombo and Trinity College &Mahamaya College from Kandy.

YESL is the member franchise holder of Junior Achievemen­t Worldwide (JA Worldwide) - World’s largest and fastest growing, young entreprene­ur programme, focused on students between 5 and 25 years. YESL programmes are approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and conducts programmes in schools and all the universiti­es.

YESL will conduct the worldwide popular company programme which guides students to set up true to life companies, where the members are shareholde­rs, where they elect board of directors: President, Marketing Director, Finance Director, Production/Operations Director, IT Director, CSR Director etc. They prepare Business Plans, conduct Board meetings, operate bank accounts, maintain all records, prepare Annual reports, declare dividends to the Shareholde­rs, liquidate the Company, to get the exposure of the business world, and develop their presentati­on and communicat­ion skills and to be self-dependent.
