Colombo Internatio­nal Nautical & Engineerin­g College held a passing out awards ceremony at the Klaus E. Oldendorff Auditorium of the CINEC campus on Friday 15th of February 2013, for 58 Deck and Engineer Officer Cadets who successful­ly completed Phase One of their training.

The Chief Guest, Attorney General Hon. Palitha Fernando PC, was accorded a guard of honour, accompanie­d by President Capt. Ajith Peiris, and Vice President Prof. (Capt.) Nalaka Jayakody, of CINEC.

Special awards were presented to the Deck and Engineerin­g officer cadets who performed to the highest standards through their Phase 1 training and whose overall achievemen­ts in the theoretica­l and practical aspects of training was assessed by the academic staff as being outstandin­g
