-

Zee Lanka, a subsidiary of Sri Lankanowned Zee Engineering which has been serving the offshore and gas industry since 1987 based in Malaysia, together with the Malaysian-based leader in renewable energy and energy optimisation Ihandal Energy Solutions is launching a new energy-saving technology in Colombo this week.

Named 'ENERZEE', the technology will help Sri Lankans save energy by up to 20 per cent resulting in lowering expenses in electricity, a new and ingenious technology. It provides maximum energy and operation savings in areas such as water heating and air-conditioning, the two largest energy consumers in a building, the company said in a statement.

The launch will accompany a presentation on 'Energy Saving' by Aaron Patel, Director of Ihandal Energy Solutions who will provide excellent insights to organisational decision makers on how they could optimise their energy without a heavy outlay in capital investment.

Zee has invited many ministers for the launch. They are Basil Rajapaksa, Maithripala Sirisena, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Ms. Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Susil Premajayantha, Dew Gunasekara and Lakshman Yapa Abeywardane. The CEO of Zee Lanka is Lionel Fernando, a former, eminent public servant who later served as an ambassador while Herman Perera who owns the Zee company in Malaysia is Technical Director in the Colombo firm. Mr. Perera, a Chartered Engineer, is CEO of Zee Engineering Consultants, a prominent Engineering group in South East Asia, offering services to the oil and gas industry.
